How much does a growth agency cost for a beauty brand?

Key takeaways

  • Single-channel US agencies: roughly $1,000–8,000 a month each (Cliktron review of public agency pricing, Oct 2026).
  • Full-service DTC agencies: roughly $6,000–18,000 a month.
  • Watch the extras: setup fees ($500–7,000), a percentage of ad spend (often 10–25%), and 3–6 month minimum contracts.
  • Add up the total for 12 months before you compare.
  • Ask who does the work, what you own, and how results are reported.

What do beauty brands pay for each kind of help?

These ranges come from our review of public agency price pages and quotes in October 2026. Treat them as directional: prices vary by country, team size and how much is included.

What you buyTypical monthly cost (US, directional)
Meta ads management only$1,000–5,000, plus $500–7,000 setup
Klaviyo email and SMS only$1,200–8,000
Shopify agency for smaller stores$1,500–3,000
Full-service DTC agency (paid social, creative and email)$6,000–18,000
Typical contract terms3–6 months, setup fees, % of ad spend on top

Which fee models should I watch for?

Four models cover almost every quote.

  • Fixed monthly retainer: one price for an agreed scope. Easy to plan, as long as the scope is written down.
  • Percentage of ad spend: the fee grows as your budget grows, even if the work doesn’t. At $50k a month in ad spend, 15% is $7,500 a month on top of everything else.
  • Setup or onboarding fee: a one-off payment before work starts.
  • Performance or revenue share: can line up incentives, but read exactly how revenue is counted and over what window.

How do I compare two quotes fairly?

Turn every quote into one number: the total cost for 12 months, including setup, ad-spend fees and any minimum term. Then list what you get for it.

When is an agency not worth it yet?

If you sell under about $10k a month, most of your gains will come from the basics: a clear product page, reviews, a welcome email and a reorder reminder. A freelancer, a good course or our free playbook is often the better first step. Bring in a team when you’re ready to spend on ads and need creative, ads, store and email working together.

How we’d approach this at Cliktron

  • Start with a free audit: we look at your ads, store and emails and send three written fixes in 48 hours, whether you hire us or not.
  • Match the plan to your stage: Indie, Rising or Leading, based on monthly sales.
  • Agree the numbers: what “measurable growth in 90 days” means for your brand, before we start.
  • Report weekly: spend, revenue, new customers and repeat customers in one simple report.

Your next step

Your brandStart here
Indie ($10–30k a month)Get two quotes and compare the 12-month totals, or start with the free playbook.
Rising ($30–150k)Compare one full-service team with three separate specialists, all costs included.
Leading ($150–500k)Ask for named senior people, weekly reporting and a clear exit clause.

Common mistakes

  • Comparing monthly fees instead of 12-month totals.
  • Agreeing to a percentage of ad spend without a cap.
  • Letting the agency own your ad accounts or data.
  • Signing a long minimum term before seeing any results.
  • Hiring for one channel when the problem is the whole funnel.

Questions founders ask

Is a percentage of ad spend a bad deal?

Not always, but it rewards spending more, not spending better. A fixed fee or a cap keeps incentives cleaner.

Should I hire freelancers instead?

Freelancers can be great for one job. The hard part is making ads, creative, store and email work as one plan, which is where a team helps.

What should be included in a beauty brand retainer?

At minimum: strategy, ad management, new creative every month, core email flows and a weekly report. Get it in writing.

How long until I see results?

Fixes to your store and email can show results within weeks. New ad creative and testing usually needs 60–90 days to judge fairly.
